God

We believe there is only one God, Creator and Lord of everything, infinitely perfect, all-powerful, all-knowing and eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (The Trinity).

Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; John 14:16-17, 16:23-27; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Galatians 4:4-6

The Atonement

We believe that Jesus Christ, according to the will of God the Father, offered himself as a substitutionary atoning sacrifice, and that all who repent from their sin and believe in him have eternal life. By his death on the cross, Jesus defeated evil, sin, and death.

Isaiah 53:10; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Acts 2:38; John 3:16; Hebrews 2:14

The Church

We believe in the universal Church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a body of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, under elders, and associated for worship, service, and fellowship. We believe that the primary mission of the church is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples of all nations. Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 2:19–22; Galatians 3:26–28; 1 Peter 5:1-5; Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:23– 25; Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8

Sanctity of Life

We believe that every human being is made in the image of God and worthy of equal dignity, respect, and honor. We oppose classism, sexism, racism, and abortion as heinous sins against God and fellow human beings.

Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:16; Mark 12:31; Romans 1:29

The Bible

We believe that the Bible, composed of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament, is the inspired word of God and without error in the original writing. The Bible was given by God through chosen people and thus reflects the backgrounds, styles, and vocabulary of human writers. The Bible is the full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice; there are no other writings similarly inspired by God. The Bible’s truth is timeless and speaks to our everyday lives.

Luke 21:33, 24:44; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:25; 2 Peter 1:19-21

Salvation

We believe that those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ will live eternally with God in heaven and that those who have not placed their faith in Jesus will live eternally without God in hell. Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:1-15; Revelation 21:8

The End of Time

We believe that those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ will live eternally with God in heaven and that those who have not placed their faith in Jesus will live eternally without God in hell. Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:1-15; Revelation 21:8

Marriage

We believe that God created humans as male and female and ordained marriage to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman.

Genesis 1:27–28; Matthew 19:4–6

Humanity

We believe that humans were created by God in his own image; that they sinned and thereby incurred physical, spiritual and eternal death, which is separation from God; that as a consequence, all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners by choice and therefore under condemnation.

Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Matthew 19:4–6

Resurrection

We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead as the firstfruits of our resurrection, and in his ascension into heaven to the right hand of the Father.

1 Corinthians 15:3–8, 20; Acts 1:9–11; Romans 8:34

Holiness

We believe God is holy and calls us to be holy as well. He provides the power to overcome the temptation to sin through the power of the Holy Spirit and the work of sanctification. Not all who profess to be saved belong to Christ. Those who have been transformed by the Gospel will bear the fruits of the Spirit.

Matthew 7:21; Romans 12:1; 1 Corinthians 10:13; Galatians 5:22-23; Hebrews 12:14
